Short Desc: | As part of a technical assistance grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Child Survival Technical Support Plus (CSTS+) Project (a.k.a. MCHIP's PVO/NGO Support team), the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) held a series of workshops for their partner organization staff in Bangladesh. These workshops introduced the CSSA framework (a.k.a. the Sustainability Framework or SF) for assessing sustainability and provided an opportunity to explore the role of values in assessing sustainable health. This paper focuses on the findings of CRWRC and their partner NGOs in three areas: 1) using the SF to systematically evaluate progress towards sustainable health; 2) defining the crucial role of values in child survival sustainability; and 3) the importance of assessing values as part of the SF. |
